The Paradise 60 fuel and water tank systems are an
integral part of the construction creating a double bottom. The fuel
capacity
is 362 gals (1360 litres), which includes a day tank in the engine
room filled by an automatic transfer pump. There is also a hand
back-up transfer pump.
The suctions for the main tanks are as close
to the bottom of the tanks in the keel as possible, in order to
allow all fuel to be constantly
polished. By returning fuel to the main tank (not the day tank)
it aids in keeping the fuel both cool and polished.
The two main
water tanks collectively hold 164 gals (620 litres). In addition
there is a 36 gal (136.6 litres) per hour AC powered
water maker and a 6 gal (22.71litres) per hour DC back-up water
maker.
There is also a 20 gal (75.70 litres) potable water
storage tank that can only be filled via either of the two water
maker systems.
This then feeds through a purifying system that ultimately
leads through the fridge to produce cold water for drinking and cooking,
thus providing on-demand cold water.
